PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS OF UKRAINE
Abstract
The global competitiveness of Ukraine in 2017, as well as the conditions of the formation of the national competitiveness and the problems of economic development have been examined in this article. An important role of the global competitiveness at the present stage of economic development has been indicated. The publication «Сlustеrs оf Соmpеtitivеnеss» by the World Bank specialists has been chosen as the basis for the indicators’ selection and determines three main indicators of international competitiveness: International Competitiveness Index of the Institutе оf Mаnаgеmеnt Dеvеlоpmеnt (IMD); Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum; Doing Business of the World Bank and the International Financial Corporation. The article presents the chronology of the global competitiveness of Ukraine and trends in recent years. It has been determined that Ukraine has improved competitiveness in the international economic market relative to previous years, but the dynamics of competitiveness improvement is more slowly relative to the studied countries.
