REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL CLUSTERS: PECULIARITIES OF FORMATION AND FUNCTIONING
Abstract
The article deals with the peculiarities of formation of educational clusters in Ukraine. The basic preconditions of formation of educational clusters are determined. The advantages of creation and functioning of educational clusters in the regions are noted. It was found that the development of educational clusters contributes to the growth of the socio-economic potential of the territory. The educational cluster initiatives in the regions of Ukraine are described. It is shown that private institutions of higher education and the public sector are actively involved in the implementation of educational cluster initiatives. It is revealed that for the effective realization of educational cluster initiatives local authorities should be involved in the process. It has been determined that cluster initiatives should be supported by local self-government bodies and should become one of the strategic tasks of the regions and be reflected in the strategies and programs of socio-economic development of the regions of Ukraine. The problems of development of educational cluster initiatives in the field of education are highlighted. The economic effects in the functioning of educational clusters are highlighted. The main measures, which will help to obtain a positive synergistic effect from the functioning of educational clusters for the region's economy, are proposed.
